CoronaVirus Cases Crosses 2.5 Million Across the World, United Nations Warns on High Risk of Hunger

Across the world with more than 2.5 million people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. So far, more than 170,000 have died with United States alone accounting for about quarter of all deaths, according to John Hopkins University data compilations.

Lets take a quick look at how this small tiny particle virus looks under microscope which has turned the world upside down.

These figures are purely based on media reports from various sources and based on official releases. The reported numbers may likely to underestimate the true scale of pandemic impact and differing testing results across the world. Countries like India has ordered around 6.5 Lakh testing kit PPE from China to combat COVID-19, but the attempts are not helping the country, as most of the testing kit are faulty. Some states have complained that only 5.5% of the test results are accurate.

CoronaVirus is becoming America’s major cause of death

Within weeks, COVID-19 deaths have snowballed from what looked like few cases to thousands of deaths across the whole country.

During mid of March, America formally began its widespread closures, social distancing and quarantines. In just few days, it has spread across all provinces and led to thousands of deaths every single day.

Below data suggests COVID-19 is on its track to be the largest single most killer of America.

March 16th to March 22nd = 337 COVID-19 Deaths

March 23rd to March 29th = 2024 COVID-19 Deaths

March 30th to April 5th = 7095 COVID-19 Deaths

April 6th to April 12th = 12392 COVID-19 Deaths

The below chart compare coronavirus deaths with other normal deaths across provinces in US. This clearly shows, COVID-19 emerging to be the leading cause of deaths in US.

However, Coronavirus pandemic impact is not the same everywhere. Only in the worst hit areas, the rate of death is unparalled. Otherwise global data suggest that only in US and few countries in Europe like Spain, Italy, Germany, UK and France have reported more deaths.

This US State files Lawsuit against China on COVID-19 Handling

Missouri is the first state in US State to file a lawsuit against China, claiming that china has hidden the COVID-19 dangers, arrested many whistleblowers and denied the contagious nature of COVID-19 that led to loss of thousands of lives and severe damage to countries globally

The lawsuit further claims that China government during the critical weeks of the initial outbreak, destroyed critical medical research, suppressed key information, arrested whistleblowers,  permitted millions and millions of people to be exposed to the virus, denied repeatedly human-to-human transmission even after proving with evidence.

COVID-19 has done severe damage across globe, causing deaths, sickness everywhere, human sufferings and economic disruption. Now most of the small and medium enterprises that run with thin margins are forced to shutdown business units after the lockdown and zero economic activity around.

In a press briefing, American President Donald Trump told people to brace for a big spike in COVID-19 fatalities in the coming days. He also pushed pack on growing criticisms that Fed government has not done enough to get ventilators that many ciritical patients may need to survive.
Whitehouse medical experts have forecast anywhere between 100,000 to 240,000 americans could be killed in this dangerous COVID-19 attack even though people follow the orders of staying at home is followed.

United Nations Warns High Risk of Hunger Pandemic across all under developed Countries

The whole world is at greater risk of widespread famines of biblical proportions caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

A report suggest that due to this impact, the number suffering from hunger could go from the current 135 million to more than 250 million.

The chief of World Food Programme, Mr. David Beasley, said a very urgent action is needed to avoid a major catastrophe.

The most affected at risk are the 10 countries which are impacted by economic crisis, conflicts, and climate change.

These vulnerable countries include Republic of Congo, Yemen, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Nigeria, Haiti and Syria.

Horribly, even before the COVID-19 pandemic, parts of South Asia and East Africa were already facing severe food shortages caused by draught and worst locust infestations for decades.

Addressing in a video conferencing at UN Security Council, Mr. David Beasley said the world should act more fast and more wisely. Within few months, the world is going to witness a huge biblical proportions of famines in these vulnerable countries and the saddest part is we don’t have time on our side, he said.
